The Exhausted Woman’s Manifesto: Why You Aren’t Broken

Feeling Lost and Exhausted? Why Trying Harder Isn’t the Answer (And What Is)

You are holding your breath right now.

Maybe you didn’t even realize it until just now. The tightness in your jaw feels normal. The knot in your stomach lives there. The tension in your shoulders never leaves.

You are not alone.

I spent months listening. Listening to my own body. Listening to the women in my DM’s. Listening to the mother at school pickup who whispered, “I don’t even know who I am anymore.”

The truth emerged slowly. We have believed a lie.

The lie says try harder. Work out more. Meal prep better. Meditate longer. Push through the exhaustion. Earn your rest. Keep going.

The lie says that the medical system knows better. The school system knows better. The experts know better. Your voice matters less. Your boundaries are selfish.

And we believed it. All of it.

Now we sit here exhausted. Bone-tired. Wondering why everyone else seems to handle life better.

Here is what I need you to hear: You are not broken.

The system is broken. The pressure is broken. The pace is broken.

You simply held everything together for too long. You forgot that you can put some of it down.

Meet the Woman I’m Walking With

I want to name her. Maybe her name is Betsy. Maybe her name is yours.

She feels exhausted. Not the “I stayed up too late” kind of tied, but the deep, bone-weary exhaustion that comes from holding the house together alone. Raising the children. Showing up for work. Showing up for everyone. Silently wondering why she feels so alone in crowded rooms.

She feels lost.

Brain fog sits on her like a weighed blanket. Tension lives in her body permanently. She tried the diets. She tried the doctor. She tried pushing through. Nothing worked.

She wants to feel like herself again. She wants energy. She wants enjoyment. She wants her body to work with her, not against her. She wants to stop surviving.

If this is you, read carefully:

You don’t need to be fixed. You need to be found.

More to come….
